Variable Costs

Costs that vary depending on the number of customers or goods/services sold.

 

Viral Marketing

A marketing strategy that encourages the recipient to pass on the message to their contacts. It creates massive potential, and can result in an exponential growth curve.

 

Vision Statement

A statement of a charity or cause’s vision. It is an image of the future the organisation wants to create. Confusing at times and sometimes seen as interchangeable with a mission statement.

 

Voluntary Organisation

An organisation in the voluntary sector or third sector, as opposed to the commercial or statutory sector.

 

Volunteer

Someone undertaking some task for an organisation but receiving no pay or other remuneration other than the payment of legitimate expenses.
